We believe that the church is a body of believers created by God to worship Him. Each believer is saved by grace through faith in Jesus to serve Him. We are able to do this only by the power of the Holy Spirit which is God's presence within us. The Bible reveals these truths and provides the needed guidance for living a life of faith. You can find out more about the Cumberland Presbyterian Church at www.cumberland.org.
We believe that true worship is a life lived in complete devotion to God. An important part of this is our weekly gathering where we give praise in song, confess our sins, receive forgiveness, bring an offering, lift our prayers, hear the word, and commit ourselves to service. Whether you are a committed believer, a seeker of answers, or a current skeptic, you are welcome to join us.
We offer many opportunities for you to grow in your faith through worship, study, fellowship and service. Worship each Sunday and on special occasions gives you a place to celebrate your faith. Bible classes for children, youth and adults enable you to strengthen your faith. Ministry Teams provide opportunities to express your faith. Fellowship gatherings help you connect with fellow people of faith.
We believe that missions begin in the local community and reach outward from there. Needs in the local community are met on an individual basis and also through supporting community outreach ministries such as Freedom House and Heritage Ministries. Mission Teams have traveled to several states to assist in recovery from natural disasters. We are involved in ministry in Haiti where six Cumberland Presbyterian Churches are located. Through our denominational mission's ministry, support is provided to missionaries in Cambodia, Columbia, Guatemala, Haiti, The Philippines and Uganda. We are part of a global church with congregations in sixteen countries.
We offer many opportunities for adults to grow in their faith through study and service. Three adult classes are available on Sunday mornings at 9:45 as well as a Bible study class on Wednesday evenings at 6:30. Ministry teams for missions, worship, hospitality, Christian education, stewardship, property, security and housekeeping provide a place for people to use their gifts and abilities to help fulfill the ministry of the church.
Ministry to and for youth is an important part of our overall mission. Those in grades 7-12 gather at 9:45 on Sunday mornings for a time of Bible study. Wednesday evenings at 6:30 are spent in fun, fellowship and Bible lessons. Involvement in the various missions of the church is also open to our youth as a part of growing in their relationship with Jesus.
Our children's ministry provides opportunities for children from preschool through sixth grade on Sunday mornings as well as Wednesday evenings. Through Bible lessons, activities and social interaction they learn what it means to be a follower of Jesus. They are also given opportunities to serve in worship and in local mission events as a part of their early journey of faith.
Growing in our relationship with other believers is a vital part of discipleship. This takes place through worship and service opportunities, but we believe gathering with other believers in social settings is also a wonderful way to accomplish this. Sharing a meal together, attending community events as a group, enjoying an outing on the lake, are all ways that we can get to know each other better and strengthen our bond in serving Jesus.
There are six Cumberland Presbyterian Churches in Haiti. These churches are sharing the Good News, establishing schools, providing food and clean water, establishing medical clinics and being a light shining in dark circumstances. We support these missions by serving as a sister church to the congregations in Dufour and Lexi. In addition to financial support, work teams have been going to Haiti since 2010 participating in building churches, schools, recreational facilities and medical clinics as well as leading vacation bible school. Watch the video to the left to learn more about this life transforming ministry in Haiti.

He has been married to Dana for 42 years and they have three grown children - Ashley, Anthony and Alexandria - and three grandchildren - Caden, Jace and Maverick. Time with family, boating, fishing, golfing and hiking are how he likes to spend his time outside of church ministry.
Pastor Paul believes that it is essential for followers of Jesus to demonstrate their love for God by loving people - all people - in the same way God loves us. This was Jesus' command to his disciples, "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another" John 13:34-35.
